French startup Spore.Bio uses generative AI to create microbial testing equipment for food factories

Spore.Bio has successfully developed a generative AI-based microbial testing device that uses spectral technology to detect harmful microorganisms in food factories in real-time. This solution is faster than traditional lab tests, providing near real-time results and saving 5-20 days of testing time. The company has secured €8 million in seed funding from well-known investors including LocalGlobe VC. This technology holds great potential in the food safety sector and competes fiercely with rival PathogenDX, which has raised $11.6 million.
